SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a talented business professional to join our Client Support team in our Chicago office. This position will play a proactive role in SmithBucklin's state-of-the-art association excellence program. Reporting to the VP of client support, this is an excellent opportunity to work with senior SmithBucklin executives and contribute to one of the company's most important initiatives, supporting our executive directors to help each client organizations achieve its greatest potential.

Primary responsibilities

  • Project management of a time-sensitive, highly visible, multi-step process that touches SmithBucklin's senior executives, executive directors, and their volunteer board members
  • Updating and maintaining program assets in secure program databases and shared directories
  • Maintaining, editing, proofreading, and distributing program elements, reports, communication, fact sheets, and other information throughout the year
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading summaries of research comments
  • Assisting in implementing program improvements, enhancements, and extensions to other client applications
  • Assisting in scheduling and preparing for training and coaching activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required) with a strong interest in project management, research, continuous improvement, and performance metrics
  • Successful candidates will be:
  • An excellent writer and proofreader
  • Highly organized
  • Detail-oriented
  • Confident in their use of technology
  • An evangelist for the program who consistently reinforces and improves the established processes
  • A willingness to learn and master new skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with successfully managing multiple projects
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
