Warranty Support Specialist

The Warranty Support Specialist is responsible for resolving internal and external customer claims for Konecranes branded product, and ensuring accurate data input to support the organization's continuous improvement initiatives. The Warranty Support Specialist will be the initial point of contact for warranty events and will coordinate the successful resolution of each case by engaging internal and external resources as required. The Warranty Support Specialist's primary responsibilities are:
  • Field incoming warranty calls from service and project management
  • Qualify that the event is a valid warranty claim
  • Initiate and process warranty claims using specified software system(s)
  • Monitor claims and determine those that require expediting or additional support
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date information in the software system(s)
  • Engage problem solvers and other internal resources as required
  • Monitor and regularly communicate claim status to key stakeholders
  • Reconcile and close warranty claims upon successful resolution

Requirements:
  • Associate degree or relevant business experience
  • 2-5 years in this or related industry/position
    Other Requirements: Each warranty event needs to be treated as a separate project and the position requires strong problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to direct and organize internal and external resources as needed to provide a successful resolution.
