Job Summary
Hiring Range: $43,496.00 - $57,313.00/Year D.O.Q.

This position under direct supervision of the Director of Communications is responsible for all in-house videography and photography activities of the Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA), as well as production support. Support duties may include development and distribution of press releases, talking points, content for internal and external media/communications publications, Web site and e-communications outlets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develops high quality video content and voice-overs for multi-platform use and distribution
  • Captures video footage and photographs of internal and external events; develops both into b-roll packages for media
  • Organizes and maintains PCCA video archive and YouTube Channel
  • Works with internal and external SMEs to ensure cohesive messaging/branding in alignment with the Director of Communications' strategies
  • Collaborates with various PCCA departments to capture video content for Web and social media as needed
  • Communicates routinely with department managers to assist in meeting their photography/videography needs
  • Photographs facilities and operational activities (with approval from Security and Director of Communication)
  • Coordinates, records and edits monthly PCCA podcasts
  • Targets specific end-user/audience in variant contexts
  • Contributes material for social media content and employee SharePoint site
  • Supports the optimization of the PCCA website
  • Designs graphics for videos, PowerPoint slide decks, slideshows, infographics, fact sheets, Web pages and PCCA social media
  • Serves as onsite presentation and event support for C-suite staff and Commission, as assigned by the Director of Communications
  • Supports PCCA social media campaigns, photography and story placements
  • Supports the Communications Department in the coordination of special projects and represents the PCCA in area activities when required
  • Works with other department personnel to fulfill department objectives
  • Performs functions in a thorough and professional manner, maintains an acceptable level of competence and professionalism
  • Adheres to PCCA Policy and maintains good employee relations
  • Drives vehicle as necessary to complete assigned tasks and work-required hours/shifts necessary to fulfill PCCA Objectives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified within the first year of employment
  • Tier 3 status designation

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The preferred candidate for this position should be a nimble and self-directing individual with exceptional multimedia skills and training (specifically, videography and photography). They must possess the following:

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Education and/or job training in videography and photography
  • Drone certification and training preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during course of employment
  • Good driving record with valid driver's license

EXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGE
  • Demonstrated written and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Effective interpersonal, presentation, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong writing, editing and graphic communication skills, experience with photography and videography and the production of videos
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and a variety of graphic computer programs, office equipment, audio/visual and photography equipment and internet
  • Must deal effectively with the public and varying levels of management

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, typing and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in a general office environment, occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to operate light-weight highway vehicles and standard office equipment and to work the requisite hours to fulfill position objectives, including evenings and/or weekends, as needed
