The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Through our programs, we offer opportunities for people to heal from and repair harm, restore their lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies and practices that promote true safety, justice, and liberation.
At Osborne, we are guided by core values and shared beliefs. We honor everyone's capacity to change, celebrate our shared humanity, are united in our pursuit of justice and equity, take all possible steps to keep our commitments, and advocate for people and principles with fierce and tenacious determination.
Osborne is opening its first housing programs, which include transitional housing and reentry services for 135 adult men at the Fulton Community Reentry Center (Fulton) and a transitional housing program for approximately 25 adult women, as well as supportive housing with 52 one-bedroom and studio apartments for older adults in the Marcus Garvey houses in Brownsville and for 5 to 10 adults in Newburgh, NY. These housing programs are new and provide a unique opportunity to shape and implement transitional and permanent supportive housing that supports people returning from prison, with a specialty focus on elders and others who have served long sentences in prison.
Osborne is seeking a full-time Vice President of Residential Services to direct, supervise, guide, and develop Osborne's new housing programs and housing placement services. This position will report to Osborne's Chief Program Officer and work closely with Osborne's Facilities Director, Program Directors, and Senior Executives to ensure the integration of housing services into Osborne's programs and services. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. is the schedule for the workweek; however, this position sometimes requires long hours and occasional weekend work.
