C4 is seeking both Full-Time and Part-Time On-Call trainers with expertise in substance use disorder, recovery, addiction treatment, prevention and early intervention, and providing training/technical assistance.


Deliver training to providers on substance use disorders (SUD), recovery, addiction treatment,
and/or prevention and early intervention approaches using adult learning principles and
interactive strategies.

Deliver technical assistance on strategies for implementing harm reduction practices and
infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis) and opioid overdose prevention education.

Conduct needs assessments with programs and organizations to identify, develop, and deliver
outcomes-based technical assistance and training to improve services.

Create products including online curricula, toolkits, manuals, user guides, and assorted other
training and resource materials, and manage/comply with product deliverable timelines.

Education and Work Experience

Expertise in teaching/training adult learners in knowledge and skills required for improving work competencies.

At least 3 years of experience working within the addiction recovery and treatment field as a service provider, peer provider, supervisor, administrator, technical expert, and/or a technical assistance provider.

Experience working with the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) in Massachusetts is preferred.

Expertise in the delivery of services and evidence-based practices for recovery, treatment, and prevention of substance use disorders and working with individuals, families, and youth in system-level service planning delivery.

Other Requirements

Strong public speaking skills and the ability to write, peer review, and publish content-related articles and presentations.

Ability to conceptualize, analyze, and follow through with multiple, competing priorities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, and participate in collaborative partnerships.

Excellent computer skills and familiarity with PowerPoint and/or other presentation software.

Ability to drive/travel to programs throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Required to be able to travel 25% of the time to Massachusetts trainings by car.


C4's main office is in Needham, Massachusetts. We also have employees living and working remotely across the Commonwealth and the U.S.
This position requires travel to Massachusetts trainings by car.
