We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our talented Commercial Operations team.

The role of Traffic Coordinator looks after the complete management of all of our TV Commercials within the sales traffic system for the channels; Choice/HGTV/ Discovery/ Discovery Turbo/ The Living Channel/ TLC and Investigation Discovery

You will be responsible for ensuring that all advertising versions are correctly assigned to the relevant booked campaigns as per agency instructions. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the final traffic playlists are correct without conflict and are balanced.

This position is also tasked with managing all late material instructions/campaign buys and maintaining and building strong internal and external relationships with our agency customers and material distributors.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate scheduling and playout of all commercials across both channels.
  • Ensure all TVC versions are entered correctly and scheduled as required in the BTS traffic system.
  • Co-ordinating all traffic instructions and input all commercial materials into our traffic system BTS.
  • Manage weekly list of missing materials and chase when necessary
  • Generate any required reporting to assist internal processes.
  • Check the traffic schedule to ensure there are no clashes, all position-based airtime is assigned the correct % of FIB/LIB, the breaks are balanced and comply with correct rotational instructions.
  • To ensure all traffic sales days are properly closed.
  • Handling the key changes, sales amendments and late campaign buys and ensuring any late changes are implemented on time as well as any other general enquiries or day to day changes.
  • Actively managing the archiving of expired versions with BTS, Amagi and internal folders.
  • Maintain and developing important internal relationships with TV Buyers and Sales Co-ordinators.
  • Liaising with a wide range of agencies and building positive customer relationships.
  • Review processes, workflow and technological best practices and seek improvements.
  • Actively shares information and knowledge with own and other teams.
  • QCing of all commercials and entering the relevant media/linking versions to the media.
  • Creating all public holiday deadlines for all departments internally.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in the advertising industry, or other relative experience.
  • Understanding of sales processes, industry and environment.
  • Computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Business acumen, robust understanding of sales process, industry and environment.
  • Relationship building skills.
  • Manage time and resources effectively, very organised.
  • Solves difficult problems through probing and analysis to reach effective solutions.
  • Open to exploring different ideas, options and opportunities to further business objectives.
  • Attention to detail highly accurate.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Is aware and understands the strategic business goals, both on an individual and team level, and how these relate to the overall company objectives.
  • Listens effectively in order to understand others viewpoints.
  • Explains information, concepts, ideas or instructions clearly, in both written and verbal form.
  • Operational knowledge of television sales processes an advantage.
