We are currently searching for a Trade Compliance Analyst. Candidates must be organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a dynamic workload and operate in a fluid and demanding environment with little to no supervision. They must exhibit a high level of professionalism in working with external contacts as well as internal customers. Experience working directly with importing government agencies is crucial (FDA, DEA, APHIS, and others).

Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for managing the entry writing program, including, but not limited to, entry writing, CBP Account Management, communications with government agencies, and software management.

Responsibilities:

  • File Importer Security Filings for all ocean shipments at least 24 hours prior to departure
  • File customs entries for all air and ocean shipments across all integrated business units
  • Issue delivery orders after shipments receive customs clearance
  • Follow up with Customs, FDA, DEA, and USDA on any documents required situations, exams, and holds
  • Work directly with government agencies to resolve any disputes
  • Verify account statements with US Customs for all duties and fees owed
  • Approve monthly payments to US Customs
  • Manage implementation of the new product database and entry writing system
  • On-going management and maintenance of entry writing software
  • Manage relationship with Customs ABI representative
  • Manage payments to carriers for storage and demurrage charges

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree is preferred with a minimum of five years work experience in trade compliance
  • Experience with navigating carrier websites, tracking tools, and high proficiency with automated broker interface software
  • Experience working directly with importing government agencies is crucial (FDA, DEA, APHIS, and others)
