Who You Are

The sales team at Justworks is ultimately in charge of expanding our customer base while driving revenue and growth. As a Team Lead for the Account Development team, you will be in a unique position to drive more revenue from our existing customers and work cross functionally. You are a natural leader who knows how to motivate and maintain a high performing team while being positive and enthusiastic. You are a creative problem solver who can identify ways to optimize new revenue opportunities. You have a customer first mindset and embody our values in leadership. Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Hire, train, coach and develop high performing Account Development Executives according to company values and sales methodology
  • Manage day to day performance of all team members and deliver reviews
  • Lead and schedule weekly team meetings with team
  • Work with internal teams to improve processes, with an eye toward improving customer experience
  • Meet pre-determined team goals
  • Embody company culture and maintain high employee engagement
  • Look for efficiencies in our upsell process, come up with creative ways to scale, and report on progress and ideas to senior leadership and supporting teams
  • Drive contests and motivational incentives across the team
  • Perform other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs

How You Will Do Your Work

As a Team Lead for the Account Development team, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following competencies:

  • Good judgment - the exercise of critical thinking, analyzing and assessing problems and implications, identifying patterns, making connections of underlying issues, understanding risks and developing mitigation strategies, and taking ownership of the outcome.
  • Foundational sales knowledge - the specific set of sales skills (prospecting, cold calling, nurturing, engaging, presenting, negotiating, closing etc) and knowledge (product, markets, trends, business etc) a salesperson possesses to enact the exchange of value between a buyer and the vendor.

  • Solution-oriented - identifies the source of a question or challenge and provides the right, or a better, way of doing things.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client facing role within a PEO or experience upselling; ideally knowledgeable in selling to small to medium sized businesses
  • Ideally a minimum of 1 year of prior management experience, though not required
  • You love data - you make decisions that are backed up by the numbers
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities and multitask
  • Has a strong vision for how to shape this team
  • You are driven and a self-starter who acclimates quickly to new environments
  • Passionate about personal and professional growth
  • Able to apply creative solutions to a variety of issues in a fast paced environment
  • You enjoy entrepreneurial environments and the opportunity to build something meaningful!
