Join our ST AME team within Chemtech division in United States as TAS Estimator.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Using Sulzer's Estimating Tools & Practices to calculate the cost of equipment, then applying the GM set by the outside sales team.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the outside sales force, external customers, purchasing, shop, and engineering.
  • Preparing specific project estimates for the cost of materials, outsourcing, project management hours, engineering hours, fabrication hours, and crating & transportation costs.
  • Determine the best location for manufacturing and develop the initial schedule for approval drawings and shipment.
  • Ensuring proper paperwork is acquired for orders, purchase orders, foreign documents, shipping instructions, etc.
  • Interfacing directly with Engineering and/or Technology Group when replacing competitor equipment to ensure that proper design is being met.
  • Must be available for emergency call out - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing or drafting experience in the industrial or refinery environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as required in dealing effectively with customers and co-workers. Effective interpersonal skills as required to develop successful relationships within the sales team and to communicate regarding customer inquiries and/or concerns.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches related to equipment and hardware requirements and installation.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Must have a valid state drivers license in good standing and proof of insurability.

Travel: Occasional travel based on job requirements; up to 5%.
