GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Partner with people managers and HR to attract, hire and retain internal and external candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions. Assist with other HR policies, programs and procedures. The ability to maintain confidentiality and the flexibility to assist different levels of staff is essential to this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Proactively collaborates with hiring managers to support hiring needs, requirements, qualifications of open positions and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  • Facilitate the talent acquisition process for assigned positions to include opening requisitions, sourcing candidates, composing interview questions, coordinating and participating in interviews, and extending offers.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to internal stakeholders regarding hiring and interviewing best practices.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers, including candidates, hiring managers, and business partners.
  • Develop a pipeline of strong relationships with top talent and maintain contact with passive candidates and prospects for future positions, as necessary.
  • Sources potential candidates through online channels, such as social platforms and professional networks. Organizes and attends virtual and on-site job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Plans interview and selection procedures. Coordinates and conducts phone screens, assessments and in-person or virtual interviews.
  • Assists with employee onboarding and offboarding experience. Collects, analyzes and reports data and trends to leadership team.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management required. An additional 4 years of experience in HR-focused role will substitute for a degree.
  • 3+ years of proven recruitment, hiring and onboarding experience
  • Experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Intermediate knowledge of ATS systems and Microsoft office platforms
  • Ability to travel to other McCoy Rockford locations and attend recruiting events as needed
  • Experience in various recruiting methodologies, including direct sourcing, networking and cold calling. Proven experience recruiting candidates who don't use job boards.
  • General knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices
  • Strong customer focus and effective use of a consultative approach
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluent Spanish preferred
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Prior experience with an ADP preferred

  • Valid drivers license with a clear driving record per McCoy-Rockfords policy and proof of automobile insurance.
