LPA is seeking a passionate Systems Manager to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of Inspire Design (ID), our unified technology team, you will be a firm wide participant in our uniquely collaborative process by maintaining, supporting and implementing technologies that inspire the design process. Your impact will be across multiple disciplines on a wide variety of innovative, sustainable projects. As a Systems Manager at LPA, this is what you would own:

  • Service desk performance and success
  • Project Management for all Systems related initiatives
  • Lead collaborator between Systems and Design team tasks and projects
  • Roadmap of current and future Systems team task and projects
  • change Management meetings and discussions
  • One-on-one mentorship and career development for Systems team members
  • Broadcast notification to the firm of system-wide updates, upgrades, outages, etc.

As a Systems Manager at LPA, this is what you would contribute to:

  • Planning for future ID projects
  • Network Health Dashboard
  • Management of security and distribution groups
  • Creation of new hire accounts and onboarding procedures
  • Resolving elevated incidents and requests within the service desk system
  • Procurement of IT hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Installations, maintenance, and renewals of software licensing

As a Systems Manager at LPA, this is what you will teach and document:

  • Provide mentorship to members of the Systems team related to task and project completion
  • Best practices and approach to ticket resolution and/or completion
  • Document processes and procedures related to Systems such as deployments, computer imaging, windows updates, ticket processing

As a Systems Manager at LPA, this is what you will improve:

  • Performance and reliability of the service desk
  • Onboarding process related to account creation and computer equipment allocation
  • Overall offboarding procedures and standards
  • Scheduling and automation of software deployments

Within 1 month, this person will:

  • Be introduced to the Systems, Design and Intelligence teams to capture a holistic understanding of LPA and the Inspire Design discipline
  • Learn specific systems and technologies that LPA utilizes
  • Collaborate with the Network Administrator and Security Analyst for an introduction into LPA's network and security infrastructure
  • Meet with each team member of the Systems team individually to understand their roles and contributions to Inspire Design
  • Coordinate plans to transition Systems Manager responsibilities with the Director, Design Manager, and Intelligence Manager

Within 3 months, this person will:

  • Take ownership of Service Desk, Change Management, Deployments, and Systems team meetings
  • Lead one-on-one meeting with each member of the Systems team
  • Serve as an escalation point for Service Desk tickets

Within 6 months, this person will:

  • Take ownership of Systems personnel, tasks, and project management
  • Review and optimize service desk performance
  • Provide recommendations for maintenance, upgrades and/or new systems technologies for LPA
  • Participate in other ID meetings as a contributor
  • Provide next steps for implementing improvements to keep track of assigned and unassigned computer equipment

Within 12 months, this person will:

  • Own all aspects of Systems related tasks, projects, and functions from a management perspective
  • Be responsible for daily management of all Systems team staff
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings to develop and establish ID initiatives and goals for the calendar year
