Position Information
As part of the Student Recreation Center's custodial team, the incumbent will provide general custodial services to the Recreation department and the Big Bear Lakehouse. There are (2) full time positions available with one to be scheduled on Sunday through Thursday and the other to be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday. Incumbent will be responsible for performing cleaning duties in offices, conference rooms, multi-purpose rooms, gymnasiums, restrooms, hallways and other areas of the Student Recreation Center and recreation facilities. This position will also be responsible for cleaning the Big Bear Lakehouse following the usage by student organizations/department groups. Responsibilities at the Lakehouse would include cleaning the bathrooms, replenishing paper products, washing/drying bedding, remaking beds, and reporting any damage. The incumbent may work individually or as part of a team in the assigned work areas.

Licenses

Must have valid driver's license. Required



ExperienceRequirement
Minimum of 6 months experience in custodial cleaning operations. Required
Experience providing custodial services in a recreational facility. Preferred

Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Required
Shift Work (hours outside standard Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM work hours) Required
Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours Required
Ability to successfully pass a background check conducted through the Department of Justice/Federal Bureau of Investigation. Required


Minimum Requirements
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English language.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Physical ability to perform custodial tasks which require bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 50-pounds.
Ability and willingness to drive department vehicle on mountain roads and in snow/icy conditions.


Preferred Qualifications
Ability to put snow chains on vehicle.
