Overview

Golf Digest is looking for a Senior Manager to help facilitate the growth of its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business portfolio. This role will be responsible for sourcing new partnerships in support of all of Golf Digests D2C businesses and managing the operating teams across a subset of these businesses. This position is multidisciplinary and will involve working closely with members of Golf Digests marketing, product, ad sales, sponsorships, social media, legal and editorial teams.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized and can move projects forwards by motivating multiple teams. This person is a self-starter and can thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Most importantly, this candidate is results driven, can think strategically, and has a passion for the digital media industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across the global golf ecosystem
  • Identify and evaluate prospective impact of commercial partnerships in support of D2C businesses, including opportunity cost
  • Support the Sr. Director in negotiating partnerships
  • Oversee prioritization of partnerships by developing and tracking KPI benchmarks
  • Manage business roadmaps, getting internal consensus and incorporating feedback from a range of sources to ensure business objectives are being met
  • Liaise with business operators to communicate priorities and key action items
  • Communicate project performance to leadership
  • Build business plans, including market data, independent research and financial models, to support investment in new lines of business
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends in the golf / sports media industries

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, consulting, corporate strategy, finance or ad sales, preferably having worked on direct-to-consumer businesses
  • Familiarity with sports media business
  • Experience in managing and/or coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Analytical self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines
  • Fast thinker and problem solver
  • Bachelors degree
  • Passionate about golf
  • Must have legal rights to work in US
