Join our growing Project Management/Estimating team! Compu Dynamics has an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Estimator in Northern Virginia. The right candidate may have the opportunity to step into a management role as the division grows. The candidate is expected to have a strong Electrical background.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides leadership on estimating processes, methodology, and tools that span multiple business units.
2. Comprehension of the desired technical knowledge items at a level that allows mentoring and training of company staff.
3. Participates in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
4. Evaluates data and metrics to propose new strategies to improve project delivery and develop reports that portray and give external stakeholders visibility into the project landscape.
5. Establishes and nurtures relationships with industry professionals, suppliers, prime contractors, subcontractors, public agencies, and internal customers.

6. Reviews RFP's/Design Docs and prepares RFI's as needed.

7. Prepares written estimates for clients based on labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.

8. Manages pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.

9. Creates the project BOM for the estimate and submits for pricing.

10. Updates the estimating tracker daily.

11. Formulates contingency plans and effectively manages risks that might impact cost and time estimates.

12. Attends estimate review meetings with the Leadership Team.

13. Communicates with field supervision and operations leadership about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients.

14. Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.

15. Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed.

16. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture or equivalent work experience

2. 5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience

3. Minimum 3 years' estimating in AccuBid

4. Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. 3+ Commercial general contractor experience

2. Designed/Build experience

3. Commercial General Contractor experience

4. OSHA Certification/Training
