The Senior Vice President of Assessment provides strategic leadership and oversight of the design and administration of PLTW interim and summative assessments to ensure validity, reliability, innovative, and authentic assessments consistent with the PLTW methodology related to curriculum and instruction. The Senior Vice President of Assessment will be responsible for aligning PLTW's assessment to effectively measure progress towards our strategic objectives of student growth, access and impact. This position will work collaboratively across the organization and with Programs team leadership to propose new assessment and product innovations as well as support ongoing product deliveries.
Responsibilities
Lead and support a team responsible for the design and validation of interim and summative assessments aligned to PLTW programs and curriculum by employing psychometric skills and research-based scientific methods for assessment design and development
Identify, define, and coordinate large-scale design of a comprehensive summative assessment and credential that creates longstanding value among students, institutions of higher education, and industry
Lead team strategic planning and implementation efforts, including supporting a culture of innovation, fostering team member inclusion and sense of belonging, promoting a customer-centric and impact driven approach to our work, establishing key performance indicators and holding leaders accountable
Assess the competitive landscape and position PLTW assessments as a leading voice within the education market
Build relationships with and continue to support PLTW's stakeholders that inform assessment design and product innovation including advisory boards, academia and industry
Determine areas of program improvement or policy change, and make appropriate recommendations to leadership
Provide mentoring, coaching and ongoing feedback to Programs Team Members

Knowledge
A bachelor's degree in educational measurement and/or research, statistics, educational psychology, or a related field of study.
Ph.D. in Educational Measurement or related field preferred
Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated experience in a strategic leadership position
