Senior Salesforce Administrator Job Summary
The Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through multiple applications including Financial Services Cloud, High Velocity Sales, nCino, and Marketing Cloud. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will focus on delivering incremental value by driving product changes. Through collaboration across the organization and vendor partners, the Senior Salesforce Administrator will understand and document scope requirements to align priorities with business needs and communicate and present across all levels of the organization. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will serve as the go-to resource for Salesforce data management and reporting best practices while also serving as a coach and mentor to junior Salesforce Administrators. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem and will help develop and leverage best practices to produce efficient, well-documented, and well-tested technical solutions that help automate and streamline existing processes.
Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)
- Works with business partners and management to understand the business and create or evaluate ideas to meet the needs and/or improve business processes utilizing the Salesforce environment. Contributes to a culture and framework within the organization for making decisions based on data and analysis of the market and market conditions and trends.
- Translates business goals and end user needs into Salesforce product strategy; communicates direction and Salesforce product priorities to business partners and/or third-party partners.
- Identifies goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; continually making recommendations and refinements to the Salesforce product backlog based on learnings.
- Manages cross functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on Salesforce product strategy; provides education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.
- Ensures user set ups are maintained in correct roles and profiles, monitor dashboards and reports for data accuracy, assist management in identifying users not utilizing the application properly, as well as identify and correct issues with user ownership of various Salesforce objects, such as activities and customers.
- Creates, prioritizes, and accepts user stories; incorporate them into release planning.
- Ensures all modifications follow the change control processes including changes in sandbox environments, testing and signoff. Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution times of cases.
- Develops, maintains, and delivers the necessary training plans, materials, and documentation to enable new and existing users to effectively adopt and use the Salesforce platform.
- Manages Salesforce vendor relationships to improve products, ensure proper usage, license monitoring, as well as test and implement upgrades when released by vendor.
- Serves as subject matter expert for Salesforce suite by keeping up-to-date with new features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements. Participate in various user group communities and attend relevant seminars, conferences, trailheads and trainings as needed.
- Assists in data governance and stewardship including, but not limited to, data quality and integrity monitoring, mass record creates, updates, deletes and transfers, account record family and hierarchy maintenance, duplicate record prevention, duplicate record identification and resolution.
- Manages and creates custom objects, workflow rules, approval processes, validations rules, page layouts, formulas, and dashboards & reports.
- Manages multiple strategic projects while also personally executing on day-to-day work of system updates.
- Contributes and adheres to budget development and use.
- Serves as mentor to more junior level Salesforce Administrators, offering guidance on prior learnings, best practices, potential solutions, and/or tips to improve ways of working with Salesforce products
- Maintains awareness, understanding, and compliance with the Banks internal policies and procedures, laws, and regulations appropriate for the position.
- Provides Assistance in response to regulatory and internal/external audit requests.
- Travels as needed in order to perform other essential functions.
Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)
- 5+ years experience as a business analyst or systems analyst with an emphasis on system configuration and design.
- Utilization of Salesforce in the banking or other financial service industry experience a plus.
- Experience with querying data using SQL; able to independently write queries across multiple objects, join tables, extract data.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification or working towards the Administrator Certification.
- Experience collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, establishing facts, and recommending solutions.
- High-level project management skills, obtained via working on and leading previous projects, enabling delivery of multiple projects and assignments.
- Demonstrated experience making decisions and recommendations based on defined business goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to be an agent of change with the energy, passion, and drive to plan, mobilize, and execute complex change efforts.
- Ability to monitor performance metrics through regular review schedule for managed implemented programs to ensure value delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to be a dynamic communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong writing and presentation skills; proven ability to orient and train others and interact with all levels of management.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Excel or transferable software packages.
- Experience being accurate with a focus on attention to details.
- Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing previous work assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
- Bachelors degree or commensurate experience.
- Valid drivers license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
