Overview

Maverick Natural Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team. Under the supervision of the Revenue Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Revenue Accountant will ensure that ongoing revenue accounting transactions are performed in an accurate, timely manner complying with all mandated regulatory requirements and timeframes.

This is a contract position.

Responsibilities

• Gather and prepare basic/routine data and information
• Prepare revenue related journal entries
• Assist in processing of cash basis revenue properties
• Identifies and responds to revenue owner needs
• Understands and applies basic accounting principles and concepts
• Assist with routine assignments requiring basic knowledge and the application of standard techniques
• Assist with other projects as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Oil & Gas revenue accounting experience required
• Enertia system experience a plus
