ARC is hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives to develop, implement, and monitor strategies that support the successful attainment of ARC's business objectives. This role requires strong collaboration with customers, partners, and internal teams and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while playing differing roles, leading cross-functional project teams, individually executing entire projects, serving as a key member of a strategic team, and/or serving as ARC's foremost expert within a specific domain. You will utilize a broad set of skills and methodologies across customer and market research, strategy development and execution, issue and data analysis, financial modeling, problem solving, customer and market engagement, operational effectiveness, service delivery, project management, consulting, and communication.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead/Support initiatives that create value across ARC's Distribution & Financial Services, Global Data and Analytics, Customer Engagement, Marketing, Revenue Management, Risk, Analytics, and Operations functions.
  • Corporate Buyers/Travel Managers: Lead ARC's strategy to develop deeper relationships with this important customer segment, understanding their objectives, strategies, and issues, and staying abreast of technology, policy, and other trends important to travel buyers.
  • Voice of the Customer: Partner with product managers and other customer-facing leaders to develop a robust Voice of the Customer program to amplify ARC's understanding of customer needs and enable the identification of opportunities to bring value to the market.
  • Strategic and Competitive Research: Identify emerging trends and conduct research to help ARC's leaders understand the topic, the impact to customers and ARC, the opportunities to consider, and recommendations.
  • Make ARC Better: Bring your work experience to ARC and instill the structured methodologies and approaches to how ARC brings value to its customers and how our teams work and solve problems.
  • Challenge the Status Quo: Anticipate the needs of customers and lead the market in the direction(s) most favorable to ARC.
  • Brand and Thought Leadership: Help to ensure ARC is viewed as a thought leader in travel and innovator of products and services that advance the strategies of our customers.


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred, with an outstanding record of academic achievement
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • A visionary thinker backed by a strong strategic and analytical framing with a global mindset
  • Highly capable problem solver and innovator to work on complex problems requiring strong analytical, conceptual, and quantitative ability
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to influence executive leadership and align various stakeholders, sometimes with diverging opinions
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading transformational/capability building initiatives within a service environment such as travel and transport, hospitality, financial services, technology, telecom, etc.
  • Entrepreneurial drive to develop new relationships, desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based structure; creates an inclusive environment at all levels of an organization
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and helping others cope with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
  • Experience within a large corporate environment or management consulting firm required
  • Anticipates and independently addresses potential issues or opportunities with initiatives you are leading/a part of; calls out critical issues and recommendations directly to functional leadership and key partners
  • Finds opportunities for integrating and aligning projects or programs to best use resources and drive efficiency
  • Experience developing scorecards and roadmaps for strategic initiatives, including key achievements, timelines, KPIs, sequencing, resource allocation, leadership touchpoints/approvals, risk mitigation and exception-based reporting
