We are currently searching for a Senior Compensation Analyst to provide technical and analytical support for the design, implementation and maintenance of compensation programs. This position will partner with HR Business Partners in consulting directly with managers and employees in both written and oral form on compensation strategy, tactics and methodologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Researches, collects and analyzes market data and internal salary relationships. Prepares statistical reports and correspondence; responds to written and verbal inquiries regarding classification and compensation practices and other related matters.

Analyzes company compensation policies in relation to DOL and EEOC regulations, market rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas and recommends changes as appropriate to maintain competitive rates.

Reviews and approves wage and salary changes resulting from reclassifications, promotions or other job changes, or market adjustments, and payments associated with incentive compensation plans.

Partners closely with HR Generalists and group leaders to develop career paths for groups within the organization. Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.

Partners closely with Talent Acquisition team to ensure accurate and equitable compensation packages are offered to new candidates and internal promotions.

Develops and/or participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.

Leads development and administration of merit review system to ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate compensation philosophy.

Demonstrates ownership and accountability of salary decisions/recommendations made by Total Rewards team and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.

Understands balancing fiduciary responsibility for larger organization in "Myriad's Best Interest" vs. acting as employee advocate.

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Compensation administration experience in a medium size (1000+ employees) organization with nationwide employees.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing compensation structures, strategies and incentive plans.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in running complex excel analysis with extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience completing large scale classification studies and salary surveys (i.e. Radford).
  • Experience working in a centralized HR department with a business partner model.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to quickly shift focus and adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to maintain confidences in areas of communications, HR work-product, and matters of political sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to convey a "business partner" mentality. Ability to build and maintain relationships of trust with stakeholders and customer departments while reviewing and resolving classification and compensation issues with employees and management.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of situations and circumstances effectively, positively, and professionally and to maintain composure in difficult, stressful and quickly emerging situations.
  • Ability to work well independently and have a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management Compensation Management software or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, compensation regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to act in a champion capacity through change.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational design and development, employee relations, diversity, and performance management.
  • Advanced skill with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
  • CCP certification preferred
  • Additional consideration for candidates with SHRM-CP, SCP, PHR, or SPHR Certification
