Community Resources For Justice (CRJ) is a unique, 140 year old nonprofit organization headquartered in Boston, that provides direct care as well as research/consulting services within the areas of the Mental Health and the Criminal Justice/Public Policy field. Our three divisions, Social Justice Services(SJS), Community Strategies (CS), and the Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) are all recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work.

The Senior Clinician will be working doing site visits to our Residential Programs (Marlborough to Sturbridge, MA) in addition to working out of CRJ's regional office on a needed basis in Shirley, MA. This is where our Community Strategies division is located and is conveniently located off I495 / I190 on the route 2 corridor.

Senior Clinicians will be responsible for developing, implementing clinical service and supervising clinical in the delivery of clinical services to the individuals receiving supports from CRJ/CS.

Critical Functional Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of clinical/administrative teams to plan, develop and implement services to individuals
  • Train and supervise clinical staff and consultants
    • Perform Functional Behavioral assessments
    • Develop individual behavior management and Positive Behavior Support plans
    • Develop procedures to teach social, interpersonal and relationship skills
    • Monitor implementation of behavior management plans
    • Provide individual and group therapy
    • Maintain current approval of treatment plans by all relevant committees and agencies
    • Document treatment progress
    • Provide and interpret data to psychiatrists to facilitate decisions about psychotropic medication.
  • Design and supervise the implementation of trainings to develop the clinical skills of managers, supervisors and direct care staff
  • Design and supervise the implementation of data systems to measure effects of treatment interventions
  • Evaluate prospective clients
  • Collaborate with families, guardians, funding sources and other stakeholders about clinical issues
  • Perform and/or assign clinical duties to other clinicians


  • MA in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field
  • Five years of relevant clinical experience and clinical license or certification are required
  • We will consider a candidate who has made substantial progress towards license or certification
