POSITION SUMMARY
The AtlantiCare Security Field Training Officer (FTO) works closely with the Corporate Director of Security and Emergency Management in the preparation of goals and objectives associated with the training of AtlantiCare employees in topics directly connected to security and emergency management matters.



The position will directly assist the Corporate Director of Security and Emergency Management with planning and supervising security training for all AtlantiCare staff to include Active Shooter, Lockdown, Code Amber, Elopement response and other such security related operations. Additionally, the Field Training Officer will assist with all Emergency Management requirements of the organization. This includes Joint Commission Standards, OSHA and NFPA standards associated with Emergency Management. The Field Training Officer will oversee all Hazardous Vulnerability Assessments for the organization and conduct necessary Risk Assessments across the organization. The FTO will oversee all Emergency Management exercises to include Focus Area Drills which will impact all our employees. The FTO will serve as the central liaison for all Emergency Operations Center activities and activations. As such, the FTO will be the lead liaison to State, County and local Office of Emergency Management representatives. The FTO will continuously pursue grant funding opportunities to aid in keeping AtlantiCare strong. The FTO will oversee all Emergency Management Training to include decontamination, hazardous materials, HICS and Incident Command Training. The FTO will address all new employees during the orientation cycle to ensure consistency in the delivery of security related subjects.
The Field Training Officer will collaborate closely with the AtlantiCare Safety Officer, as well as Risk and Legal personnel to best safeguard our organization against potential issues that might negatively impact AtlantiCare.



This position assists the Corporate Director of Security and Emergency Management in planning and supervising the activities of the Security Department and the Emergency Operation Planning. The Field Training Officer also works with the Corporate Director to assess the organizations compliance with the appropriate regulatory agencies and directs the development of departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures.



This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.



QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related field required; Masters preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid NJ Driver's License required.
o ICS 100 - Incident Command Overview - required
o IS-200c - ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents- required.
o ICS 700 - National Incident Management System (NIMS) -required
o IS 106.1 - Workplace Violence Awareness Training -- required
o IS 907 - Active Shooter Training -- required.
IS 907 - Active Shooter Training - required



EXPERIENCE: Membership with American Society for Industrial Security and/or International Association of Healthcare and Security Officers preferred. 5 Years Emergency Management and/or Security Experience with Active Shooter training experience required.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.



WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.

This position reports to and supervises incumbent as assigned.
