Revance is a biotechnology company focused on innovative therapeutic and aesthetic offerings, including our next-generation investigational neuromodulator product, DaxibotulinumtoxinA for Injection.

The Scientific Advisor will serve as an in-depth scientific resource, supporting Revance's Therapeutic and Aesthetic portfolios. S/he will be a key member of the review processes for both medical and commercial customer facing materials. Additionally, s/he will work closely with the therapeutic area Medical Directors to assist in the execution of strategic plans. The Scientific Advisor must demonstrate expertise and knowledge of Revance's products, clinical trials, and scientific activities within the therapeutic areas so they can serve as resource for a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all Revance products, and maintain up to date product knowledge and expertise
  • Serve as lead Medical Affairs reviewer on the Medical and Promotional Review Committees, this will include verifying the medical accuracy and references of all materials
  • Document review comments and approval of materials in ePromo
  • Assist the Medical Directors in the execution of Medical Plan strategy and tactics for both therapeutic and aesthetic portfolios
  • Actively participate in the publication planning process
  • Perform data analysis, and contribute to the development of abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts at the direction of the Medical Directors
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors in the development of scientific content for presentation
  • Assist Medical Directors with onboarding and ongoing training of MSL team(s)
  • Serve as an internal scientific expert on competitor products and competitive landscape

Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, clearly set goals and effectively manage multiple concurrent work streams successfully
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate complex scientific topics to a variety of audiences
  • Solid knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal and compliance standards (FDA, PDMA, PhRMA guidelines etc.)
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, administrative, and computer skills
  • Organization and execution of projects across multiple work streams and teams
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment

Preferred Education:
  • MD, DO, PhD or PharmD in relevant scientific field
  • 5+ years research or pharmaceutical industry experience in the field of aesthetics or neurology

Preferred Additional Skills (i.e., Computer):
  • Proficient in literature searching using PubMed or other similar databases
  • Customer Orientation including a well-developed capacity for relationship building
  • Ability to actively problem solve
  • Travel requirement: Up to 10% including overnight stays
