The University of Pittsburgh's Pitt IT department is seeking an advanced Salesforce Administrator for the Enterprise CRM team.

The incumbent will participate in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of business applications.

This position is primarily remote, and the user must have a suitable area for working from home. Permanent desk space is not available though if the incumbent is local to Pittsburgh they can regularly be on campus using our hoteling model.

The Salesforce Administrator does the following:

  • Interfaces directly with customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options
  • Assesses design and objectives for the assigned project phases
  • Recommends strategies and tactics to achieve business needs

Excellent Salesforce Administrator skills, as well as project, communication, and customer service skills are required to be successful in this position.

Equivalent combinations of education, relevant experience, and industry certifications may be considered per University guidelines.

Required:

  • Minimum 3+ year of Salesforce Administration
  • Experience with Service Cloud and features within such as Email-to-Case, Live Chat, Omni Channel, Lightning Service Console, and Knowledge Base
  • Experience with Flow Builder, Process Builder, workflows, validation rules and other content of declarative complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Exceptional analytical ability, strong technical skills, and business intelligence skills
  • Experience providing customer support in an IT or Salesforce specific capacity

Preferred:

  • Possess strong Customer Service mindset, demonstrated experience providing full understanding of the needs of internal customers
  • Experience in Salesforce implementation, training and documentation preferred
  • Experience with other Salesforce clouds such as Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum development processes
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating to solve complex problems, build strong relationships within the organization, and champion change

Required:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Admin
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Super Badges

Work Schedule M-F bus hours EST. On occasion, some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on business load, project timeline requirements, urgent support, or scheduled downtime changes. May be responsible for manning an escalation phone number on a rotating basis.
