Advancing Knowledge and Learning

  • Orders: Formatting and submitting both small and large orders to include renewals using Salesforce and internal quote tools. Facilitating Evidence Based Acquisition orders and forms. Placing UPSO orders during uploads, managing payment allocations for Consortia UPSO deals, OSO placeholder access orders for Consortia deals, and tracking all activity
  • Usage Statistics: Pull usage and turn away data/stats for Journals and Online products as needed
  • Invoices: Providing invoicing and subscriber numbers and liaising with Customer Service. Researching past due credits, matching to invoices. Liaise with Credit & Collections for reconciliation of invoices
  • Access issues: Escalating and following to resolution access problems raised by Institutional Sales team with Customer Service
  • Data Feed: Chasing data feed problems/issues with the Sales Data Team to facilitate a resolution
  • MARC records: Help provide timely and customized cataloging MARC records to Academic Institutions and Consortia/Network partners
  • Reporting: Assists with ad-hoc reporting and data revisions, acting on requests from Senior Director, Regional Managers, and Sales Support Manager as needed.
  • Renewals: Assist with seasonal Network and Consortia renewals process
  • Communications: Act as the facilitator for requests from Institutional Sales and internal Customer Service and Sales Operations teams
  • Salesforce: Work to clean and maintain accurate data in CRM, Salesforce

  • BA or BS is recommended
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or sales administration as well as customer service preferred.
  • An understanding of the publishing industry and its specific reporting needs and common stumbling blocks preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and inter-personal skills, and possess the ability to comfortably liaise with many departments and levels of hierarchy.
  • Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage time, be a team player, be proactive, possess the ability to work under deadlines, and above all, be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must be proficient in the full MS Office Suite and possess the ability to learn new software programs and work in them comfortably.
  • Must be willing to travel to sales meetings as required or needed.

Position Location: This position can be hybrid in New York, NY, Sunderland, MA or in Cary, NC. The role can also be done in a Remote capacity in the United States.
