This 12-week program is designed to provide students the opportunity to get a better understanding of the biotech pharma industry. This is a paid internship as a temporary employee, working up to 40 hours per week in our Nashville location.

The Risk Advisory and Compliance team at Revance Therapeutics is looking for an audacious Risk and Compliance Pioneer (Intern). Yes, Pioneer! You will work alongside specialists within our group to help develop the future of our function.
What do we do? We build awareness of what could go wrong and what to do about it. Our current focus areas include financial and information technology risks. We also keep our eyes open around technical and operational standards to secure and protect credit card data.

You'll be assigned tasks to develop your understanding of what we really do, and you'll build networks with your colleagues in Finance and IT. Not only will you work on tasks that address the present needs but will help with tasks that drive value for the future of the team. Essential Duties/Responsibilities With appropriate guidance, focus on projects that research and detect valuable data sources to help automate collection processes and value driven data analysis
Identify data automation opportunities and help manage projects to refine the process by getting hands-on with data
Assist in reviewing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and information using data visualization techniques
Develop an understanding of Company risks through review of financial results, relevant internal information, current business trends, and specific transactions, relating to the world of SOX 404b (Financial and IT) and Payment Card Industry (PCI)
With appropriate guidance, execute and document testing of internal controls with clear explanations of procedures and results using appropriate standards and terminology
Build solid relationships with Finance and IT team members
Demonstrate flexibility with task completion and prioritization, communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor
Handle and analyze data and information responsibly
Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Prepare presentations, reports, and analytics
Collaborate with intern peers to propose solutions to real business problems
Execute a group project with fellow interns
Participate in the mentoring sessions, guest speaker series, and training modules
Participate in a community service program
Assist with the engagement survey action plan project
Other duties as assigned
Education Current 3 rd or 4 th year students pursuing a BA/BS preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or similar
A strong academic record
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The ability and willingness to work diligently and effectively remotely
Knowledge and understanding of a professional working environment
Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills, and the confidence to identify and resolve problems
Resilience to prioritize and adapt in a demanding, fast-moving, constantly changing environment
A proven record of excellence in communication and negotiation, supported by the technical writing skills to translate data into compelling stories and meaningful insights
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft D365 is a plus
Proactive and can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Previous internship experience preferred
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships
