UPCI Basic Research Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (22007524)

This position is to serve as a Research Project Manager for The Schmitz Lab, and will lead many of the operational aspects required of the federally-funded Nurse AMIE 3.0 project.

An important part of this position includes coordinating research activities across the multiple sites that are participating in Nurse AMIE, by developing connections with members of the study team including principal investigators and clinicians, as well as research participants, IRB members, and hospital staff.

Additionally, this Project Manager will use Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines to help develop techniques and procedures that promote the efficient completion of complex research projects and tasks.

Other responsibilities, further outlined below, include managing project budgets, supervising interns and junior study staff, using national and institutional research policies to recruit subjects, obtaining informed consent, scheduling study-related appointments, collecting and coordinating study data, troubleshooting issues that occur before, during and after patient visits, managing regulatory documents, analyzing data, and assisting with the preparation and submission of grant applications and scientific manuscripts.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the education/experience requirement.
