Job Summary: Under general supervision, this position provides project coordination support for the Research & Conservation department and performs a full range of administrative tasks. The Research Coordinator assists with tracking budgets, grant reporting, room scheduling and is the main liaison with other Gardens departments. The Coordinator works closely with Marketing and Public Relations staff to produce written content related to the work of the Research & Conservation department. Additionally, this individual is the internal face of the department and must have strong customer service skills, but frequently works independently on assigned projects requiring strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and being detail oriented.

Compensation: $17.25 per hour
Education/Experience: High school diploma and a minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated strong proficiency with standard office equipment and software including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, Word) and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Blackbaud accounting software a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken; and excellent human relations skills required. Must be able to manage multiple and changing priorities, be organized and detail oriented. Must have track record of sound judgment and decision-making in an administrative setting. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Enthusiasm for communicating science to various audiences a plus. Fluency in Spanish and English is desirable. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
