The AHP Research and Evaluation Department is seeking a Research Associate II to assist staff in implementing and supervising data collection, management, and analysis for various research projects. This position will be located in AHP's Sudbury, MA office. Ideal candidates will be able to work independently; are capable of leading other staff members; and have experience working with quantitative data throughout a project lifecycle, from data collection through cleaning, coding, storage, analysis, and reporting. Experience with SAMHSA-funded projects/GPRA data collection, federal proposal writing, REDCap, and Stata is strongly preferred.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage implementation of all or a portion of evaluation/research plans including participating in project meetings, coordinating stakeholder meetings, assisting with survey/protocol development, managing data collection, submitting IRB applications, resolving problems and tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, literature reviews, and other work products.
  • Lead business development efforts.
  • Lead data collection and data quality/integrity tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between the evaluation and provider staff regarding client enrollment and data collection.
  • Prepare reports summarizing data and key project results.
  • Work with project directors and analysts to develop and implement strategies (e.g., record reviews, data audits) for monitoring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.
  • Design and maintain summary reports for staff use and/or for internal and external communication, including reports of evaluation recruitment and retention progress.
  • Develop reporting schedules to support contract deliverables.
  • Collaborate with analysts to generate graphs, funder reports, and presentations.
  • Quickly produce new reports in response to special queries related to the data.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 4+ years' experirence
  • Strong knowledge of social science research study design and methods.
  • Previous experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, data collection, proposal writing, and project management.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including state-level administrators, behavioral health program directors, advocates, clinicians, and people with lived experience of substance use disorders.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment and be flexible in taking on and performing assignments, as necessary.
  • Proficient in Stata, REDCap, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and qualitative analysis and citation management software.

Technical qualifications or specialized certifications:

  • Title and pay rate will be determined at the time of hire based on candidate qualifications and experience.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings to accommodate project activities.
