Description:

TGen's mission of rapidly translating genomic discovery into patient care is at the heart of the Trent Lab's goals. Whether helping people through early detection, personalized medicine or charting the genomic landscapes of a variety of cancers, the patients are what drives this team to excel and raise the current standard of care. We are looking for a new team member to elevate and accelerate a novel approach to cancer detection using cell free DNA.

We are building a technology that enables cancer detection from a single blood draw. We are looking for a foundation member of our team who can carry out research and development work involving cell free DNA extraction, library preparation and sequencing in service of driving this innovative diagnostic forward into the clinic.

We are seeking individuals with experience in molecular biology and/or genomics.

This position will also be responsible for general lab duties including:

Executing experiments and analyzing data.

Maintaining excellent records of protocol development.

Training other junior or new staff members.

Engaging in collaborations with outside labs.

Meetings, presentations, seminars.

Requirements:

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Science field and ideally two years working experience in a lab after graduation.

The ideal candidate would be experienced in:

Molecular biology techniques

Next generation sequencing

Cell handling techniques
