Position Summary
The R&D Lead for Vidium Animal Health, a subsidiary of TGen, is an experienced cancer genomics product development professional who is passionate about improving the lives of pets. Vidium's mission is to guide veterinarians and families through the difficult journey following a pet cancer diagnosis by providing them with the most cutting-edge information possible. The R&D Lead will work as a part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, startup environment in a position with significant growth potential toward creating a leading company in the field of veterinary diagnostics.

The R&D Lead has multi-dimensional expertise in cancer genomic and molecular diagnostic product development with specific expertise in cancer NGS assay development and non-invasive diagnostics. S/He will develop and execute projects within Vidium's R&D program. They will be responsible for coordinating projects as well as the individual work of testing and validating molecular and genomic assays, creating SOPs, documenting results, and transferring protocols to Vidium's clinical genomics laboratory. The R&D Lead reports to the Head of Bioinformatics & Product Development and works closely with the Chief Scientific Officer while also partnering with leaders across departments, particularly the Liquid Biopsy Lead, to leverage expertise from cross-functional teams for assay development and deployment efforts that carry out our mission.
