The Recruitment Manager works to successfully develop, execute and manage recruitment efforts in Wake County by executing strategies and protocols to generate and convert member leads across a targeted geographic area. The Recruitment Manager successfully increases girl and adult volunteer membership in Troops and cultivates school and community partnerships to increase visibility and engagement with the Girl Scout program.

The salary range for this exempt position is $40,000 - $45,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction of the Director of Recruitment to execute engagement and recruitment strategies outlined in the council's strategic plan, annual business plan, and other council goals to generate increased girl and volunteer leads in partnership within Wake County.
  • Embrace a metrics-driven approach to tracking, assessing, and meeting new girl and adult volunteer leads goals.
  • Identify and execute various methods to actively engage in direct, focused, targeted recruiting within Wake County.
  • Collaborate with Wake County Schools to identify engagement opportunities including sending resources, drop off flyers for upcoming events, and attend virtual and in-person school-based events that directly increase new girl leads.
  • Schedule and host school-based events and work collaboratively with school organizers to maintain school relationships and engagement.
  • Schedule and host council sponsored events within Wake County to attract and convert new girl and adult members.
  • Schedule and attend community events to increase interest and engagement in Girl Scouts while working with Outside Sales Specialists to increase visibility in Wake County.
  • Build and develop relationships with appropriate community leaders, schools, organizations, and businesses to support recruitment efforts within Wake County.
  • Establish contact with new girl and adult leads and nurture prospects in order to solidify new member growth and engagement while ensuring a strong handoff with the Inside Sales department.
  • Responsible for ensuring all leads are entered for events into appropriate systems within the required timeframes.



  • Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and 2-3 years of relationship management and/or sales experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong ability to influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit diverse individuals and work within diverse communities.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
