General Summary:

The Project Support Specialist provides support on project tasks, and general administrative assistance. The position requires working closely with numerous team members including, but not limited to analyst, project controls team, project, and program managers. The Project Support Specialist is often involved in the day-to-day operations of the office to which they report, and provides valuable input, support and administrative assistance with all of the services offered as a component of Program Management including but not limited to: design engineering, ROW engineering and survey coordination, environmental assessment reports, corridor analysis, mitigation planning, cost estimating, feasibility studies, noncomplex valuation analysis, title research and clearance, construction coordination, project close out, and demolition coordination.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Daily communication with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and OPC field agents
  • Making copies, scanning, and uploading documents to Sharepoint, and preparing packages.
  • Responsible for delivery of documentation to local parties daily.
  • Researching property ownership information and input into spreadsheets.
  • Creating documentation such as transmittals and claims.
  • Mail merging to create multiple notices.
  • Updating of tasks into SharePoint program within case files.
  • Mailing and tracking of project documents sent via regular and certified mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple project components simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, research, and recommend a course of action
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good reading comprehension
  • Self-motivated and maintain a positive teamwork-oriented attitude
  • Able to work effectively with diverse work groups including co-workers, clients, vendors, and claimants

Required Qualifications:

  • Two or more years experience working in a project management support role
  • Three or more years experience with working with Microsoft Office

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Two or more years of experience working with infrastructure projects for government agencies, public utilities, or community development
  • Proven experience with prioritizing multiple projects and assignments concurrently
  • Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive
