Position Purpose

The Project Manager (PM) will join a dynamic, collaborative team based at the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health at Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. The PM will play an essential role in oversight and implementation of an NIH-funded study being conducted in New Hampshire and New Mexico to evaluate the impact of a yoga-mindfulness intervention on outcomes for pregnant women with opioid use disorder and their infants. The PM will assume overall day-to-day management of the study to ensure that the project progresses smoothly and milestone deliverables are met on time and within budget.

The PM will oversee the study activities conducted at partner maternity care setting practices in New Hampshire and liaise with the Project Manager overseeing study activities in New Mexico. The PM will support the management and coordination of tasks related to the project, including protocol development, institutional review boards (IRBs), site initiation and monitoring. The PM will supervise the project Research Assistants.

This position will be based out of the Dartmouth College offices in Lebanon/Hanover New Hampshire. The position will require travel to the local partner practice sites in New Hampshire, and occasional travel to New Mexico to work with the partner study team.

Note: Continuing employment is based on availability of grant funds.

Key Accountabilities

Research Responsibilities: 50%

  • Partner and Community Stakeholder Relationships: Establishes and maintains positive relationships with study site staff and demonstrates effective and professional communication. Organizes and convenes quarterly meetings of the study advisory committee to obtain input on all aspects of the study protocol and activities.
  • Protocol Compliance: Ensures that study activities are carried out in accordance with protocol, including but not limited to study team training, intervention implementation, participant recruitment & screening, participant assessments, follow-up, and required documentation.
  • Data Management: Oversees data collection processes and ensures data collection integrity.
  • Dissemination: Oversees and prepares presentations, manuscripts, and other reports for dissemination to academic and community stakeholders.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify, respond to, and participate in the resolution of potential and actual problems in study operations and participant activities.
  • Regulatory: Oversees and ensures that all protocol processes are followed, and all paperwork is appropriately filed and completed per the Quality Assurance/Regulatory Monitor.

Communication/Presentation: 40%

  • Supervision: Supervises up to two Research Assistants locally. This entails setting expectations for, and managing, performance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates study protocol and research goals to CTBH and, study sites and partners. Effectively communicates and personally supports Dartmouth College values to foster inclusiveness and diversity.

Miscellaneous: 10%

  • Trainings: Participates in on-going trainings and keeps abreast of developments in the field.
