Provide project engineering support for industrial construction projects in the automotive and power industry. This position will require interaction with supervisors, contractors and crafts to insure construction work complies with all construction documents, drawings, specifications, standards and codes. This position will also include collaborating and building relationships with the project Owner, architect and engineers. This position requires travel to project sites across the southeastern and mid-south United States.


  1. Monitor and promote safe work practices throughout the project.
  2. Monitor and promote quality installations complying with project design documents, applicable codes and Boldt company standards.
  3. Plan and organize key field duties as assigned by the project manager.
  4. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Boldt policy.
  5. Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site staffing to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; implement corrective measures should situations occur.
  6. Assist in project labor relations activities/strategy meetings, while promoting safety and productivity.
  7. Assist with the management of financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client.
  8. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by site leadership.


Educational and experience requirements include: Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience and a minimum of three years of construction, design, finance and management experience. Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must have strong computer skills.
