Texas Health Allen seeks to hire a Program Manager, Infection Prevention to join the Infection Control Team.

Salary: Min $38.77 Max $58.44, based on relevant work experience.


Full-Time, 8:00am 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

As a Program Manager, Infection Prevention with Texas Health Resources, this position will help Program goals be advanced through collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and customers.

The essential duties of this position are:

Surveillance and Epidemiology - Outcomes are reported to stakeholders, adapting presentation to audience. Required data is reported to state and federal agencies in an accurate and timely manner. The effectiveness of the surveillance program is periodically assessed and modified, as necessary.
Infection Prevention and Control - Findings, recommendations, and policies of the program are disseminated to appropriate groups or individuals. Knowledge on the function, role, and value of the program is provided to customers. Subject matter expertise in Infection Prevention and Control is provided to customers/stakeholders.
Leadership and Program Management - Program goals are advanced through collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
Process Improvement and Implementation Science - Opportunities for improvement are identified through coordination of multi-disciplinary process improvement (PI) teams. Identification and critical analysis of scientific evidence occurs, to include synthesis of interventions with the greatest benefit, identification of barriers to successful implementation, and innovative approaches to remove barriers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Biology or related field Required

Master's Degree Public Health Required

Two Years acute care hospital (e.g. nursing or microbiology) or infectious disease epidemiology Required

RN - Registered Nurse - Bachelor's degree in Nursing Upon Hire Required or

MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist if Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Required or

M(ASCP) - Microbiology if Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology or Biology Upon Hire Req And

CIC - Certification in Infection Prevention and Control 3 Years Req


Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, computer and data management, program administration, and epidemiology is preferred.

Completion of basic infection prevention training course within one year of entering profession
