Our Product Sales Manager is primarily responsible for our Fall Product Sale and our Annual Cookie Sale program. This position will assist in increasing awareness, understanding, and visibility of Girl Scouting across the Council footprint both internally and externally. The Product Sales Manager works to implement and enhance the Council's Product Sales program opportunities for girls and to support volunteers and sales to ensure maximum effectiveness and success in the product sales program.
Major Responsibilities
  • Manages all aspects of Fall Product Sale to include Appointing, training, managing, and supporting Area Fall Sale Managers and others as needed.
  • Establishes troop proceeds plans and troop/girl recognitions to include writing Resource Guides for Families, Troops, and AFSMs.
  • Manages data reconciles sales/payments with accounting and processes orders at the conclusion of the sale.
  • Coordinates delivery of products and Co-Manage all aspects of Cookie University, Cookie Rallies, and Superstar Parties.
  • Manage our Smart Cookie (our cookie app) user guides, instructions, and update the website as needed.
  • Work with potential book locations in Wake County and coordinate schedules with booth coordinators.
  • Stay up to date with Cookie Sale Program and assist the Product Sales Director as needed.
  • Assist in planning and implementing strategies to increase product sales programs and work with GSUSA licensed vendors, volunteer committee, and GSUSA to execute the cookie program in a manner consistent with corporate standards.
  • Actively supports and promotes the Council's and GSUSA's affirmative action plans and their commitments to diversity throughout the organization.
  • Assists the respective teams to achieve the Council's fund development and membership goals.


  • Two or more years of experience in sales, communications, public relations, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated competency in public speaking, math, and technology skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, the internet, and database management systems.
  • Must be able to plan and organize work with multiple priorities;
  • Strong communication, written, organizational, interpersonal, and evaluation skills.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed;
  • Ability to train, support, and supervise volunteers and administrative staff.
  • GSUSA membership required.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge about the movement, structure, purpose, history of the Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines and Girl Scouts of the USA.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to transportation for business use.
  • Event and personnel management experience preferred.
