How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

End to end marketing management of the commercialization for Brighthouse Financials' SmartCare Hybrid LTC Index Universal product . The objective of this role is to drive consideration and differentiate SmartCare against its competitive set among advisors and consumers. This role is highly visible within the organization and directly helps enable both Brighthouse sales teams and third-party distributors achieve annual sales goals.

This manager will be responsible for the development of omni-channel marketing campaigns, oversee content and communication development, tracking success against forecast goals, and professional development of two direct reports. Success in the role will include strong collaboration with key Product, Distribution, Customer Service, and Legal and Compliance partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in the life insurance industry, specifically with indexed universal life insurance and hybrid LTC products, highly matrixed organizations, the ability to communicate effectively up through C-suite members, the ability to think critically, and the capability to drive results at an enterprise level.

Work Location:

To protect the health and safety of our employees, our offices are closed until at least September 2021. When our offices reopen, the individual hired for this role will be based in our Charlotte, NC office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of two employees by fostering an environment of continued growth grounded in the values of Brighthouse Financial.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and competitive positioning sales enablement content that promotes SmartCare across channels which includes web, brochureware, advisor advertising, direct mail, and email.
  • Lead the strategic direction of digital tools which help drive advisors and consumers through the purchase funnel.
  • Leverage data and technology to increase efficiencies and effectiveness across the teams.
  • Manage cross-project dependencies; identify resource conflicts, risks or issues, and facilitate prioritization of shared resources as necessary.
  • Identify incremental sales opportunities, based on market trends, competitor actions, and distributor feedback, create action plans to capitalize on opportunities, and present findings and action plans to leadership.
  • Promote effective collaboration and communications among multiple stakeholder groups which typically includes both marketing cross-functional teams and corporate manufacturing and operations teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required .

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline preferred.
  • 8+ yrs. relevant business experience, prior management experience a plus.
  • Prior B2B, B2B2C, and B2C product or marketing experience, specifically within the life insurance industry preferred.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams to create breakthrough results through coaching and feedback.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn complex products such as annuities & life insurance .
  • Must currently hold FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7, or the ability to obtain.
