With our focus on providing a world class customer experience and sustainable growth, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and results-driven Product Manager (MDP), USA, to help us achieve those goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for direct and indirect Konecranes Technical Institute (KTI) Product Sales and will be entered into our Management Development Program (MDP).

Responsibilities

The Product Manager - SP29 is a progressive position in which the successful candidate's main responsibility during the first year will be the direct sale and management of the KTI Training Portfolio with a parallel, and defined path (MDP), to become the Region AME Product Manager for SP29 Products.

The PM will work closely with, and will be supported by, the respective Directors to achieve the defined career and business objectives of this role. The Project Manager will work extensively with Konecranes Key Accounts and Account Managers.

This position has a defined development plan that includes expanding responsibilities over a defined time-period. The expectations are such that the criteria will be met to extend the responsibilities to include the Management of all SP29 Products within the Portfolio
  • Year 1: Target $2,000,000 in direct sales of the KTI (Konecranes Training Institute) Portfolio to the end user.
  • Year 2: Target 10-15% Growth of SP29E (Training Products) including $2,000,000 in direct sales of the KTI (Konecranes Training Institute) Portfolio to the end user.
  • Year 3: Target 10-15% Growth of all SP29 (Consulting Services) Products, including $2,000,000 of direct sales of the KTI (Konecranes Training Institute) Portfolio to the end user.


The SP29 Product Portfolio is instrumental to Konecranes reaching our AME growth targets and is inclusive of the following products:
  • SP29A Critical Components Assessment
  • SP29B Crane Reliability Study
  • SP29C Geometrics
  • SP29D Consulting
  • SP29E Training

Product Manager
  • The Product Manager analyses and evaluates acquired information with various analytical tools to identify gaps and recognize opportunity. This insight is used to enhance the whole offering and develop systematic processes and strategies to create an exceptional sales, operations, and customer experience.
  • The role of a Product Manager is constantly evolving, like our business and, because of this, the Product Manager will constantly update themselves on both professional and technical aspects of their area of responsibility.
  • It is imperative that the individual has the knowledge and competency to leverage other sales streams and business channels to create opportunity and generate leads.
  • This role is one of a cross-functional nature and as such, the Product Manager - SP29 owns the end-to-end process. It is expected you will collaborate and be in alignment with the Vice-Presidents & Directors from the Sales, Operations, Marketing, Engineering, Learning & Development, IT, Product Management and Supply organizations both Regionally and Globally. Collaboration, coaching and working with the frontline sales streams, sales leaders and especially our customers is imperative to reaching growth and people development targets.
  • This leadership position is inclusive of planning, setting detailed targets, forecasting, funnel management, reporting, project management, development of sales processes, marketing material, focused sales training, sales program implementation, product development, application expertise and lead generation. A key element will be developing transferable knowledge processes to onboard new sales talent and enhance existing resources. We will provide them with the digital tools, defined plays, and knowledge support to be successful and engaged with the competence to generate additional opportunity by providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • The expectation will be extensive customer engagement in both a virtual and on-site setting. A high-level ability to recognize safety and productivity improvement opportunities through a systematic insight process is imperative. The ability to identify customer needs and apply solutions will drive the growth of our business by providing a complete value-added customer experience and the continued development of our sales resources.


Qualifications and Skills
  • A history of consistently performing above team quota and being able to forecast accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without Authority
  • Strength in working with cross-functionality including executive management, sales, operations, administration, and marketing teams
  • Experience utilizing digital tools and software to manage or support a high performing team
  • Strong ability to utilize digital tools for virtual communication and collaboration
  • Analytical Skills and Strategic thinking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach a resolution and maintain strong relationships
  • Engineering, Marketing, Product Management degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in overhead material handling or industrial processes preferred
  • Candidates should have experience in product management, with a proven track record in sales, project management, and product planning. Minimum of 3-5 years preferred.
