As the Procurement Contracts Manager, you will assist the Procurement team in creating and driving contracts supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and establishing successful supplier partnerships You will contribute on achieving cost reduction, working capital improvements, high quality and timely supply of goods and services, and innovation You will support domestic and international contract negotiations for JBT Corporate and its Divisions assuring adherence to JBT contract guidelines and laws


  • Review various contractual documents including but not limited to, pricing agreements, master purchase agreements, consultant agreements, subcontracts, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, memorandums of understanding, and other legal documents, contracts and documentation
  • Review contract language in supplier and JBT documents, identify terms that do not comply with corporate contract guidelines, and make recommendations regarding how to eliminate, mitigate or manage risks
  • Participate in pre-negotiation meetings, supplier negotiations, and support Procurement team with advice and recommendations regarding alternate contract language or best alternative to a negotiated agreement language
  • Provide proper risk management and insurance terms in contracts and agreements to guarantee performance, protect against 3rd party claims, and promote responsible service/goods providers
  • Work closely with Corporate Category Management teams, Divisional Sourcing leaders, Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), BU Supply Chain teams, and Legal on issues relating to supplier agreements, agreement performance, notices of termination, default notices and other supplier non-performance issues
  • Develop and maintain contract repository system of contracts including impeding expirations, auto-renewals, rebates, guaranteed provisions, and other key contractual dates


  • Completed Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Legal Studies or related field
  • 10+ years of contracts-related experience Procurement contract experience preferred
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proficient in project management tools to drive progress and manage resources Ability to learn and apply proprietary tools and systems
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
  • Must be able to travel as needed
  • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills
