This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team working onevolving technology at Pew!

As the Principal Associate, Endpoint Engineering, you will manage and support Windows, Macs, and mobile endpoints at scale across an enterprise sized environment. You will betheproductownerfor Macs and Windows, a subject matter expert and technical lead for all the facets of endpoint management.

You willdefinea plan forleveragingthe Mac and Windows product suiteby:

  • Performing configuration management, administration, and deployment of Windows endpoints and mobile devices (Android and iOS) using Microsoft Intune, and Apple Macintosh endpoints using JAMF.

  • Planning and executing the rollout of JAMF to Macintosh clients across the enterprise.

  • Implementing security configuration management for endpoints through configuration profiles, software, and scripting controls as required.

This position requires significant use of initiative and judgment and will involve overseeing operations and projects.

You will reporttothe Manager, Server and Storage Infrastructure,and are eligible forup to100% telework/Remote.


  • Packages applications for self-service install or automated, unattended deployments distribution via client management tools.

  • Oversees the deployment of security patches for operating system and desktop applications, and plans, and conducts testing as part of rolling out changes to endpoints.

  • Leverages automation to supplant administration tasks. On Windows, this includes PowerShell, Microsoft Intune, SCCM and GPOs. For Macintosh, this includes JAMF and shell scripting.

  • Provides tier three support across the enterprise for issues related to the desktop OS and applications. Ensure all client requests and operational problems are updated/resolved within a timely manner

  • Collaborates with other teams to provide effective endpoint management and exceptional user experience. Exercises broad latitude for independent judgement.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Minimum of 6+ years of applicable experience in a corporate environment.

  • Experience with Apple Macs MacOS 10.12 or higher - installing, troubleshooting, and managing software and drivers, performing upgrades.

  • Experience with Apple Business Manager.

  • Experience with JAMF Connect, Protect, and Prestage Enrollments deployment of JAMF provisioned Macs to staff and ensuring devices are secure.

  • Experience using Bash, Python and PowerShell scripting in endpoint management.

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune configuring policies and device profiles, managing devices, packaging and deploying applications, and providing reports as requested

  • Experience with Windows Desktop OSes (Windows 10, 11) installing, troubleshooting, and managing software and drivers, performing upgrades, and general troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot configuring and deploying Windows laptops for staff to use after remote or on-premises receipt.

  • Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Windows antivirus solutions

  • Strong desktop troubleshooting skills. Sets priorities, organize time and identify resources for projects, and can coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and be a strong project lead in coordination with Pew IT staff and vendors.

  • Skilled at documenting designs and policies associated with endpoints, including implementing work routines and standards.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills with the ability to present information in a compelling, polished and persuasive manner.


This position requires quarterly travel to Pew's Washington DC office. Infrequent travel to other Pew offices located within the United States andinternationally.Minimal additional travel required to attend trainings, seminars, or conferences.
