We are seeking a Peer Services Coordinator

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.

Integrated Services is a supporter of individuals with lived experience living and working in our communities. As such, ISBH is an integral part of Ohio START; a grant funded program to support families involved in child welfare who have substance use disorder. We are looking for a Peer Services Coordinator to provide direct supervision and support to our Peer Services team and directly oversee programs such as the Ohio START program within ISBH.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and oversee activities of peer staff through various methods including but not limited to team meetings/supervision and regular communications.
  • Provide training for peer services staff in the home and community setting.
  • Support individuals with lived experience in substance use and mental health and ensure the team is receiving adequate supervision for their work.
  • Provide routine training, support and assistance to staff through individual and group conferences, assistance in analyzing case problems, and in improving their helping skills.
  • Attend regular individual and joint supervisions; family team meetings and shared decision-making meetings; technical assistance calls; trainings and other duties assigned for peer support and treatment programming.
  • Prioritize child safety and well-being when making or delivering treatment recommendations.
  • Reviews management reports and case records.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely submission of written reports and notes regarding participant treatment.
  • Evaluates performance of staff members and recommends appropriate action to the manager.
  • Participate in ongoing fidelity review (tracking referrals, assessments, and treatment attendance dates) and adherence to START, EPIC and other peer models, processes and service components.
  • Collaborate and maintain impactful relationships with all relevant partners and systems engaged with our peer staff members, including but not limited to Ohio START and local PCSA.
  • Participate in the review and selection of new staff, including but not limited to completion of position requisitions, applicant reviews, and interviews.
  • Responsible for implementation and oversight of organizational policies, procedures and/or processes.
  • Trains new employees in areas such as organizational policy, procedures, and organizational or governmental regulations.
  • May directly provide home and community behavioral health services that are practical, helpful and collaborative.
  • Oversee assigned programs/projects as designated by the manager.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public administration, social work, education, counseling, psychology, public health, education, business administration or related field is required.
  • LSW/LPC or LISW/LPCC/PhD/IMFT preferred.
  • Three years of experience providing coordinated supportive services.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Individuals familiar with the use of motivational interviewing and trauma informed practices preferred.
  • Commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace required.
  • Experience with multi-need individuals and families.
  • Broad knowledge of community service systems.
  • Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team building activities.
  • Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Experience working within Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
