OverviewThe Payroll Specialist processes bi-weekly payrolls and answers employees, other departments and outside government inquiries.
Responsibilities What you will be doing: - Audit and reconcile wide range of personnel actions and payroll documents for employees
- Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Time system to payroll and reconcile variances
- Ability to develop and create Ad-Hoc reports on demand
- Maintain monthly metrics on payroll team performance
- Process off-cycle payments
- Accurately process employee pay for a biweekly, multi-state payroll
- Research and respond to Payroll mailbox and telephone inquiries within 24 hours
- Create and maintain a positive customer service environment
- Handle Travel and Expense reimbursements and deductions
- Process wage assignments, acting as a liaison with an outside vendor
- Contribute to other projects / duties as assigned
- Reconciliation of general leger and payroll tax
- Ability to streamline and improve audit processes

- Strong communication (written and verbal), customer service, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

- Must be able to manage confidential information
Qualifications What you need to have: - Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or minimum 2 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and prioritization
- Strong organizational skills with ability to act independently and responsibly
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and function as team lead as needed
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
Its a plus if you have: - Experience with Workday, ADP and SAP strongly preferred
- Experience with financial applications including Microsoft Office, ADP, and SAP
- CPP and FPC
- Proficient working with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint, MS Outlook.
