Job Summary:

Remote work available.

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. Take full charge of payroll and benefits responsibilities. From preparation to delivery to employees. Manage Fringe benefits coordinator managing the invoicing and reconciliation to vendors, and the payroll deductions, maintaining records for adding and removing staff from all coverages management of the 403B plan. Communicate with employees and or supervisor of any problems related to benefits and payroll working with minimal supervision.

Position Requirements:

Minimum High School Diploma; Minimum four years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. Candidate should have knowledge of basic human resources, payroll practices, payroll law, benefits administration, and compliance or other related experience.

Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time & attendance and HRIS and self-service systems. Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Strong background in computer data input with accuracy. Should be able to understand data processes and computer-generated reports, report writing and setting up and maintain interfacing with benefit carriers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Specific Duties

Payroll

  1. Prepare and process complete payroll
  2. Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees; including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary.
  3. Process all changes to employees, prorate, retros, payouts
  4. Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
  5. Evaluate and implement payroll/HRIS systems upgrades and changes.
  6. Prepare quarterly tax credit reports and submit to third party vendor.
  7. Maintain employee records in payroll/HRIS systems.
  8. Management of ACA reporting requirements
  9. Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees.
  10. Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and human resources requirements
  11. Implement any changes in the Payroll/Benefits system
  12. Perform Monthly Audits
  13. Perform other duties related to Payroll

Benefits

  1. Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations.
  2. Coordinates and conducts the new employee onboarding process and presents benefits presentations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  3. Fulfills all governmental regulatory mandates and ensures filings are performed as required.
  4. Plans and administers annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes to employees, arranging for on-site representation by providers, and processing changes within deadlines.
  5. Plans, conducts, and reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee and works closely with accounting for quarterly and year end audits (payroll, 403B, etc.).
  6. Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
  7. Ongoing collaboration work with the Human Resource employee engagement.
  8. Processes monthly billings from providers. Reviews billings for accuracy for payment in a timely manner. Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll.
  9. Administers online COBRA enrollments/changes. Correspondence and follow-up with COBRA: Rate changes; coverage ending; payments made
  10. Prepare, process, and compare for accuracy all PATH Employee benefits invoices.
  11. Communications with supervisor on trouble shooting and system changes/problems
  12. Conduct trainings for supervisors and staff on system
  13. Perform other duties related to Benefits
