Position Summary: The main responsibility of this position is to provide information and assistance to lessors, royalty interest owners, overriding interest owners, and working interest owners in response to verbal and written inquiries regarding leases, interests, and payments. Respond to owner and Range personnel inquiries and calls within 48 hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Return owner telephone calls within 48 hours of the message. Will handle phone calls up to 50% of the workday, but must be flexible during busy times to handle more.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in written communication and phone calls.
  • Conduct owner/royalty relations by documenting calls from royalty, overriding, and working interest owners. Verify information with research in the Horizon system, and maintain an accurate database in ServiceNow.
  • Facilitate discussion with owners in order to determine the issue and provide a solution if able to do so with information on hand, or direct more complex issues in accordance with departmental procedures. Continue to follow up with owner on status at the request and direction of Land Administration team members.
  • Provide assistance to owners with changes and/or updates to their accounts -- address changes, mailing deceased letters, and transfer requirements for various areas, etc. in order to establish any changes to the distribution of revenue.
  • Request appropriate documentation from owners in order to facilitate changes to accounts.
  • Resolve landowner inquiries by researching complaints and/or issues and send escalations to senior personnel.
  • Research suspense to release funds held in suspense.
  • Assist in resolving complex issues including division of interest ownership, mapping, lease lookup, unit declarations at the direction of the Supervisor.
  • Research all returned checks, mail confirmation letters, and communicate instructions to revenue accounting for checks.
  • Assist with annual Escheat process for unclaimed property, and other various tax department requests.
  • Validate and log returned division orders.
  • Identify revenue check voids and reissues, and coordinate with the accounting department to ensure changes are made. Communicate progress to owners.
  • Research all checks returned by the postal service to verify if an updated address can be found, and notify division order analysts to suspend payments if necessary.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
Minimum Experience: 6+ years' in oil/gas, call center environment or other applicable experience

Professional Certifications/Training Preferred: Notary license

Skills: Communication (verbal and written), professional phone etiquette, ability to remain calm under pressure, organizational skills, time management skills, general administrative skills, some exposure to and/or experience with basic accounting

Equipment/Machinery: Microsoft office, Horizon/AS 400, Scanning software, 10-key, ServiceNow software

Working Conditions: Climate controlled working environment
