POSITION PURPOSE

Maintain and service the Umpqua Health computer network to ensure a high level of network availability and access for users.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keep abreast of industry product advances and best practices. Research tools and processes to present to management.
  • Add and upgrade various software applications and suites as required.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves complex problems of computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals, and telecommunication systems.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and support Cisco VOIP phones, voice gateways, phone servers, voice mail accounts, and CRS/CCX client software.
  • Perform basic IVR programming using Cisco UCCX
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Cisco phone system reporting and recording
  • Develop and maintain documentation for complex applications.
  • Assists with monitoring of network access, data security, file access and reports potential risks.
  • Manage and support web filtering software
  • Install, configure and optimize data loss prevention (DLP) software policies and rules
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
  • Perform internal and external network vulnerability scans; review scan results, perform gap analysis and implement remediation plan
  • Facilitate network security audits with 3rd party vendors
  • Setup, configuration and maintenance of electronic badge access system
  • Log all activities in the Help Desk ticket database including, but not limited to maintenance, upgrades or replacement of hardware and software systems, applications and suites as required.
  • Maintain a high level of user access and network availability.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 Cisco switches and Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Support remote access and site-to-site VPN connections.
  • Creating and maintaining sub-nets and VLANs for network security.
  • Setup, configuration and maintenance of intrusion prevention software (IPS)
  • Analyze and implement Operating System patches, hot fixes, updates, virus protection and malware removal.
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot wireless systems (access points, wireless controllers, site surveys, etc.).
  • Installing, maintaining, updating and troubleshooting network infrastructure equipment to include switches and routers.
  • Install, maintain, update and troubleshoot various applications.
  • Monitor security events (IPS, DLP, SIEM, etc.) and take appropriate action
  • Monitor network performance and availability
  • Create and review security policies in accordance with HIPAA and/or industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area OR a combination of education and experience.
  • Required certifications: CCNA (or equivalent).
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Understanding of Windows 2008/2012/2016 Servers.
  • Strong Cisco knowledge is desired.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

  • Be able to multitask and prioritize as needed.
  • Proven experience configuring, maintaining and upgrading PC workstations, including the installation, diagnose and repairing of PC workstations, PC hardware, peripherals and telecommunication equipment.
  • Ability to answer computer and software related questions in technical and non-technical terms.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Be able to work with users of varying technical knowledge.
  • Be willing to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Have reliable transportation for transportation to clients sites, hold a valid drivers license and maintain insurance on the vehicle used for work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to patient and environment conditions such as unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases.
