Summary: This position supervises the mortgage servicing team, providing development opportunities, feedback, training, and guidance, as appropriate. In addition, this position ensures that all aspects of mortgage loan servicing are compliant with Federal and State Regulation.

A typical day might include the following:
Supervision:
Supervises the mortgage servicing team. Provides mentoring, training, and assistance to the team as appropriate
Coaches and develops servicing teams performance, training, hiring and development
Reviews work performed by servicing team, providing feedback and guidance
Assists in the workflow management of the mortgage servicing team and provides efficiency recommendations
Monitors and allocates workflow, coordinates staff as defined by business need, coaches and trains staff, and manages performance, including generating performance reviews and related documentation
Promotes partnership and relationship-building with mortgage lending partners within the organization
Compliance:
Assists management in communicating and administering policies, procedures, and practices
Acts as control point in the loan servicing process to ensure adherence to credit union policies and procedures
Supports audits and credit examinations of the mortgage loan portfolio
Mortgage Servicing Operations:
Responsible for accurate and timely servicing of the mortgage loan portfolio
Assists with the servicing and funding of escrow holdbacks and construction loans
Monitors reports relating to all aspects of mortgage servicing and manages the necessary action to be taken and work to be completed based on reporting results
Responsible for accurate and timely servicing of escrow processing, to include but not limited to the monitoring and management of property taxes and insurance policies, payment distribution for insurance and property taxes, and performing annual escrow analysis
Assists with the oversight of all loans being serviced by the credit unions designated sub-servicer
Ensure collateral position is secured accurately for each loan
Assist with the daily servicing and operational duties assigned to the mortgage servicing team.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
Education and/or experience:
Associate degree or higher preferred and five or more years financial services experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years supervisory/management experience
Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan servicing and lending practices
Must have knowledge of Arizona document-recording requirements and escrow analysis processing
Knowledge of mortgage closing and funding requirements a plus

Candidates for this position will be required to sign an authorization for OneAZ to conduct a credit and criminal background check, pursuant to procedures in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and any other applicable laws.
