General Purpose:

This position leads, administers, or assists with programs that engage with and generate BA memberships, serve BA members and cultivate a valuable membership experience. This position also assists with all functions of the BA and its programs as needed.

Essential Duties

Targeted member engagement

  • Respond to incoming member communications about resources, benefits, or programs.
  • Engage with members, curate content, and maintain the BA Forum as a valuable member resource.
  • Develop relationships with new brewery members via email or phone communication.
  • Work with key brewery members to ensure strong member support.
  • Maintain accurate contact information, particularly for key members.
  • Develop relationships with new brewery members via email or phone communication.
  • Phone outreach to members on current issues.
  • Communicate with expired and prospective members about benefits of BA membership.
  • Gather and share member input on association benefits and what they need from the organization

Content project management designed to support membership engagement and recruitment.

  • Develop materials to onboard new brewery members and make existing members aware of BA resources.
  • Catalogue membership benefits and resources in accessible format.
  • Rework technical resources for membership purposes.
  • Rapid resource creation on developing issues or items of interest.
  • Create and curate resources for BA members and the BA website as needed

Additional administrative and project work

  • Assist in annual statistical data collection.
  • Assist in government affairs projects as needed.
  • Participate in marketing meetings and communications to make recommendations and be aware of outreach to brewers and other members and non-members.
  • Serve on and/or act as liaison for BA committees.
  • Present on BA member benefits and tools to optimize membership at industry events as needed.
  • Support association priorities with contributions on miscellaneous projects, including webinars, events, conference registrations, ticket sales and mailings.
  • Travel to industry events as a BA representative to promote membership and the craft brewing industry.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong knowledge of and passion for craft brewers

Travel Required

  • Travel to Craft Brewers Conference and Great American Beer Festival
  • Travel to state guild meetings as assigned
  • Travel to industry or professional development events as designated by Brewers Association
