Job Summary: (Short statement of the jobs purpose)

Mechanical Engineering position with emphasis in electronic packaging. The scope of the position requires a range of responsibilities spanning requirements definition, conceptual trade studies, design/analysis/packaging of RF and digital equipment, and integration activities. Other responsibilities includeparticipating in engineering analysis and evaluation efforts related to complex analog, digital, RF and integration hardware, documenting design approaches, establishing design verification and validation procedures, and developing plans to manufacture assemblies and major sub-assemblies. Duties will also include the design, assembly and maintenance of production test fixtures as required. To bring the designs to reality, mechanical engineers will develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers and generate necessary requisitions for engineering project activities for which they are responsible.

Qualifications:

• Education: 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience OR a BS in Mechanical and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Must have experience with the use of 3D CAD programs to create solid models and 2D detail, assembly, and installation drawings. Current experience with CREO (Pro/ENGINEER).
• Must have strong analytic and communication skills; ability to coach, motivate technical personnel.
• Must have sound knowledge of design criteria and complex activities.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
• Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
• Must be detail oriented, timely, highly organized, flexible, quick learner, self-starter and reliable team member.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally.
• Although infrequent, must be able to work weekends and overtime when required.
