JOB TITLE: Marketing Operations Analyst

OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Operations Analyst will be a critical contributor to Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.s (SSI) Control Tower (CT) function. This role will entail the transformation of raw demand/supply data into organized, consumable reports as well as provide analysis focused on actionable intelligence to improve the demand/supply sufficiency. In addition, this role will participate in pioneering aspects of the CT function at SSI to move it from conceptual to operational phase.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Operations Analyst manages the data acquisition, organization, and analysis of the demand, supply, and product allocation data in support of the CT function in DSA Marketing. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Acquire raw data for demand (AP1), supply allocation (PA), and sales forecast needed to support the DSA Marketing CT function. Work closely with DSA Sales/Marketing and DSK Sales/Marketing/Strategy teams to inspect and cleanse data to ensure integrity.
  • Transform large-scale raw data (ex. pivoting in Excel) into consumable weekly CT reports comparing AP1/PA/Sales Forecast by Customer/Application/Technology Node.
  • Analyze the CT reports to identify gaps, discrepancies, trends and/or patterns in the demand/supply sufficiency to discover and communicate useful, actionable information needed to support CT decision-making.
  • Collaborate with DSA Sales/Marketing to formulate strategies and action plans based on analysis to address demand/supply sufficiency issues and drive resolution of assigned actions.
  • Understand monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans for revenue, bit growth, market share, and ASP targets and how these goals relate to the CT function.
  • Create process to streamline or automate significant portions of data acquisition, develop new reports as well as better formatting for existing reports to improve ability to analyze CT data and discover critical conclusions.
  • Work closely with DSA Sales/Marketing on periodic or ad hoc projects requiring demand/supply analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS in business or applicable degree
  • 2 yrs of Sales, Marketing, or Sales Operations experience in the Semiconductor industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP SD Module, and advanced skillset in Excel (ex. Pivot tables, macros)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a high-paced operations environment with a can do attitude.
  • Ability to work in a diverse-team environment with multiple cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to extract unwritten implication of a given situation by using analytical skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
