Marketing Coordinator

The United Center, a premiere sports and entertainment facility and home of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls, seeks a well-organized and passionate individual to be our Marketing Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Content Creation

  • Video editing experience, specifically with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Writing, reviewing, editing, proofreading and updating content for company websites, email campaigns, marketing materials, social media and similar platforms
  • Brainstorming and developing effective content plans for communications and marketing efforts driven by previous success metrics
  • Presenting content concepts and working with team on final deliverables for internal and external needs


  • Tracking and interpreting analytics and success metrics on communications and marketing touchpoints to drive strategy
  • Monitoring and analyzing event survey data to inform strategic initiatives

Social Media Marketing

  • Assisting with captions and research for daily content that maintains social media accounts including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the social media strategy
  • Implementing real-time social media coverage of United Center events. Video editing is preferred.
  • Monitoring trends, tracking success and recommending strategies to increase reach, revenue and brand awareness
  • Compiling metrics and analytics to recap event success and reach

Event Management

  • Collaborating with internal and external resources to effectively implement in-house activations and events
  • Providing hands on, on-site support for events as needed
  • Assisting with the creation of event and marketing specific content for digital displays throughout the arena
  • Monitoring company website metrics

Job Requirements Include:

  • 2-3 years of Marketing experience is preferred
  • Ideal candidate should display strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills and should have a flexible schedule.
  • Bachelors degree in English, marketing, or a similar field or comparable experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing. Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.
  • The individual must have the aptitude to work with various computer programs. Advanced Photoshop and InDesign knowledge is a requirement. Video editing, HTML and CSS programming preferred.
